Dr. Wayne A. I. Frederick is the seventeenth president of Howard University in Washington, D.C., and currently serves as the Charles R. Drew Professor of Surgery. A distinguished scholar and administrator, Dr. Frederick has advanced Howard University’s commitment to student opportunity, academic innovation, public service and fiscal stability. He has also secured seven of the eight largest gifts in the University’s history. He currently serves on the U.S. Chamber Board of Directors and Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. He also serves on the public boards of Human Inc., Forma Therapeutics, and Insulet.
